What would I do if I was alone in the world? This leporello book I made is inspired by the story 'Walden.' The backgrounds of the illustrations are made of coloured etchings. On top I made collages with pieces of paper, drawings and paint. If I would be alone for a certain time, I would learn to build my own house and paint it in the brightest colours. I would learn how to navigate by the stars en never get lost. Ofcoure, I would draw a lot by candle light in the evenings. My own vegetable patch will supply me with enough food, together with the fish. I will make my own soap to do the laundry. And I would love to become friends with the animals in the forest. At cold evenings I will sit by the warm fire. It's an quiet but peaceful life.
